not yet snowy December

Another weekend is coming to an end. And as usual my 'cappuccino friend' will accompany my tonight writing. Due to my thesis connected with ice-creams.. I see them everywhere! Taking a break, and looking through a window. Seems another Autumn is slowly disappearing. And Winter will take the foreground, maybe soon. Today we will walk back to the third week of my stay.

Kolejny weekend dobiega końca. Mój przyjaciel - pyszne cappucino - ponownie będzie towarzyszyło mi przy dzisiejszym wpisie. Pisanie pracy, i jeszcze raz pisanie, .. i jeszcze raz pisanie, a za oknem? Kolejna jesień powoli odchodzi, zamiast śnieżnej zimy, szary i deszczowy początek. Dlatego dzisiaj przejdziemy się kawałek, albo i dalej;) po moim trzecim tygodniu pobytu w "Kraju Spokojnego Poranka".

But today we won't stop by and take a look and deep breath, we gotta run for .. a bus! Because a new trip is awaiting.
Korea has few islands close to the country and one of them, the biggest and probably the most famous is Jeju Island.
However we will visit a very tiny island called Namiseom - Nami Island(남이섬).It is another good place for relax. If You have a chance being in Korea I advise this place for any couple. You will enjoy it. There are many alleys with trees with a really magical view, and also few places to have a meal, a museum, outside exhibitions and also a place where You can stay for night or longer.

Woke up early in the morning, and went to take the subway until the special scheduled to Nami bus. With my luck [yes, sometimes I have it;)] I went there on a books festival.. with Polish representation: ) Indeed, who would have thought, that, so far, far away in small Korean island I would see it. The Polish words of 'dreams' fulfilled the trip.
Nami Island is famous for being the scenery in one Korean drama called 'Winter Sonata', unfortunately I haven't seen it, but what touched me the most were Nami's unique alleys with high trees. Autumn and Winter there definitely must be beautiful. As I didn't forget a camera, the summer view of Nami in my eyes below.

Nie będziemy dzisiaj zatrzymywać się na odpoczynek; ) O nie! Wyruszamy w drogę! 
Z samego, spokojnego poranka wyruszyliśmy metrem na autobus, który miał nas zabrać na niewielką wyspekę "Nami". Jest naprawdę bardzo niewielka hehe. Natomiast dla ciekawostki, największą i najbardziej rozpoznawalną wyspą koreańską, jest wyspa "Jeju". I nie czyta się jej po polsku 'jeju' hehehe, brzmi bardziej jak: "Dziedziu". Chociaż kto wie, czy lądując na tej wyspie, jej urok nie wprawił by nas w taki zachwyt, że 'o jeju!'.
Po dniach spędzonych w stolicy, czas na dalszą wycieczkę. Wybór padł na Nami. I był bardzo trafny. Zachwyciły mnie zdjęcia ze stron internetowych, ale realia okazały się być jeszcze piękniejsze. Po dotarciu autobusem czekała nas krótka przeprawa niewielkim promem, wręcz małym 'promkiem' hehe.
Alejki z wysokimi drzewami robiły ogromne wrażenie, można było się poczuć jak w bajce. Mimo sporej liczby turystów, panował spokój i mogłam się odprężyć i zrelaksować. Jak to moim 'szczęściem', trafiłam na wystawę książek, i już na samym początku poraził mnie widok polskich napisów. Których nie widziałam już dobre kilka tygodni. Słowa 'marzenia' znajdujące się na tablicach w pewien sposób dopełniły całą wyprawę. 
Dodatkową atrakcją dla osób odwiedzających Nami są zdjęcia, autografy i elementy dekoracyjne z popularnej kiedyś koreańskiej dramy "Winter Sonata". Ja jednak nie miałam okazji jej obejrzeć, jeszcze hehe. Ale co tu więcej pisać! Oto Nami jaką zapamiętałam:

When I was in Seoul and when the day was tiring, this is the first place I always wished to go: ) Even now, I hope to be there one day again.

Taking You into my journey made me hungry; )
I managed to order in Poland my favourite Korean noodles - Jajangmyeong (자장면). Basically it is an instant pasta with a dark soy-bean sauce and few toppings, like shrimp, meat and vegetables. If someone is looking for those noodles in Poland, let me know: ) Here my delicious dinner to be:

W ostatnim czasie udało mi się zamówić koreańskie danie "Jajangmyeong", w wersji instant. Jest to makaron z ciemnym sosem na bazie soi. Nie myliłabym go ani ze słonym sosem sojowym używanym do sushi, ani z gęstym, słodkim sosem sojowym z południowej Azji, ten jest jeszcze inny; )
Danie podawane jest z kilkoma dodatkami, aczkolwiek w niewielkiej ilości. Mogą to być kawałeczki krewetek, mięsa czy warzyw.

As I promised, today we will take a walk around 'historical part of Korea' - Korean Folk Village
Korean Folk Village is not situated far from Seoul. You can get there by car or bus. At the entrance we were welcomed by Korean Lady, who was wearing traditional cloth - Hanbok (한복).

Czas wyruszyć w drogę, a w jednym z postów postaram się przybliżyć kuchnię koreańską, jej sztandarowe dania oraz wiodące smaki. Ale póki co wybierzmy się do Tradycyjnej, Koreańskiej Osady:) Jest nieznacznie oddalna od Seulu. Najlepiej wybrać się samochodem, drugą opcją jest oczywiście autobus, bądź jeżeli posiadacie hehe helikopterem; )
Już przy wejściu powitała nas Koreanka ubrana w tradycyjny strój tzw. Hanbok.

Obecnie Hanbok zakłada się jedynie przy ważniejszych uroczystościach takich jak: ślub, Nowy Rok, Chuseok (Koreańskie Święto Dziękczynienia), 100 dni od urodzenia czy pierwsze urodziny dziecka, w starszym wieku, przy 60 i 70 urodzinach, a także na pogrzebie.

Strój może występować w ogromnej gamie kolorystycznej, ale możemy wyróżnić kilka wiodących barw.

Kolor niebieski symbolizuje szczęście, czerwony - ochrona przed nieszczęściem, żółty - kolor królewski, biały to symbol czystości, a czarny inteligencji. Pierwszy Hanbok był jednolicie biały, dopiero później zostały wprowadzone inne kolory. Podczas pobytu miałam okazję zobaczyć Hanbok kilka raz, i przyznam, że widok 'Hanbok' na kilku gościach weselnych wprowadził mnie w osłupienie. Tradycyjny, a równocześnie bardzo elegancki i wysokiej jakości strój.

Let's start with Hanbok. Nowadays people wear Hanbok mostly, only on important celebrations such as wedding, New Year, Chuseok (Thanksgiving Day), 100days after birth and 1st birthday of a child, also on 60th and 70th birthday, and at funeral. There is huge variety in colour, but in the past the white Hanbok was the most common.
The current main colours are: blue - symbol of happiness, red - protection from misfortune, yellow - king's colour, white is the symbol of purity and black of intelligence. During my stay I saw Hanbok few time, and I've got to say, that I couldn't take my eyes off it. Hanbok represents not only the tradition treasure, it is really very elegant and high class clothing.

Chodząc po muzeum można w pewnym stopniu poczuć się jak w machinie czasu. Osada dokładnie odzwierciedla dawniej panujące warunki, a atmosferę dopełniają poprzebierani Koreańczycy. W tym miejscu nagrywano również wiele koreańskich filmów czy dram. Dodatkowo na terenie osady znajduje się pare muzeów z makietami i obrazami, sklepów z akcesoriami czy dostępne dla każdego odwiedzającego różnego rodzaju atrakcje, m.in. można obejrzeć ceremonię zaślubin czy tradycyjne rozrywki mieszkańców.

When You step into the Folk Village You feel like You've travelled in a time machine. The Village presents the exact moment from times ago, and even the residents are wearing the traditional clothes. You can walk freely around, watch the houses, museums and other attractions, such as the wedding ceremony or resident's entertainment. Also, the Village was used as a scenery to few movies and dramas.
